Kidsfantasy.store ("we", "us") creates personalised children's books. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how we protect it — especially the photo of your child, which we treat with extra care.

What we collect

  • Order details: your name, email, shipping address, and payment details (processed by Shopify Payments / our payment providers — we never see your full card number).
  • Personalisation details: your child's first name, age, chosen story type and main character.
  • Your child's photo: one reference photo you upload so our illustrations resemble your child.

How we use your child's photo

  • The photo is used only to generate the illustrations in your one book. We use AI image-generation tools to create cartoon-style artwork that resembles your child.
  • The photo and generated artwork are shared only with the service providers needed to make your book: our AI illustration provider, our design tool, and (for hardcovers) our print partner.
  • We never use your child's photo or likeness for marketing, model training, or any other customer's product. We will only ever show a book's artwork publicly with your explicit written permission.
  • Photos and working files are retained for 90 days after delivery (so we can fix any issues or reprint), then deleted. You can request earlier deletion at any time.

Consent

By uploading a photo you confirm you are the child's parent or legal guardian (or have the parent/guardian's permission) and consent to the processing described above. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children — all orders must be placed by an adult.

Who we share data with

Shopify (store platform and payments), our AI illustration provider, Canva (book assembly), Gelato (printing and shipping of hardcovers — they receive your shipping address and the print file), and our email provider (order and delivery emails). Each receives only what it needs. Some providers store data outside Australia; we choose providers with appropriate safeguards.

Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Principles you can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information, including your child's photo and the generated artwork. Email kidsfantasy26@gmail.com and we'll action it within 30 days. If you have a complaint we can't resolve, you can contact the OAIC (oaic.gov.au).
